Dental care should be a routine part of the daily care for your pet. Some pets will allow their teeth to be brushed, while others may be more difficult. The Animal Health Center carries small animal toothpaste and toothbrushes for those pets that enjoy getting their teeth cleaned at home. If this is not an option, we also have Science Diet t/d available.  Science Diet t/d is a dog and cat food that is clinically proven to reduce plaque and tartar buildup on your pet’s teeth.

When plaque builds up on your animal’s teeth it allows an environment for bacteria to seed and grow. This can cause bad breath, gingivitis, and ultimately septicemia (bacteria in the blood stream that can disease if not spread to other organs) and heart taken care of in a timely manner. The Animal Health Center offers anesthetic dentistry for cats and dogs of all sizes and ages.
